Cushion

The least your checking and savings should hold today so that a purchase does not leave you short before payday. It changes every day. See your cushion.

Minimum balance

The amount you never want your checking and savings to go under. You set it. If you do not, it is $0. A purchase that would take you under it is a No.

Everyday spending

What you spend on things that are not bills, like groceries and coffee. You can enter it as a monthly figure, or Buyancy estimates it from your transactions.

Safe to spend

The total of your checking and savings. It is not a recommendation to spend it: it is the money you have in those accounts today.

Net worth

All your accounts added together, with money you owe counted as negative.

Next payday

The day you are next paid. Buyancy uses the deposit you chose as your pay, or its best guess from your deposits, and tells you which. You can change it on Recurring.

Statement balance

What a credit card says to pay by its due date. It can be less than everything you owe on the card. See paying by card.

Recurring bills

Payments that repeat, like rent or a phone plan. Buyancy finds them from your bank, and you can correct them, remove ones that no longer apply, or add your own.

Yes, Wait, No

The three answers to a what-if. See how Buyancy decides.

Goals on track

A goal counts as on track once it is at least 40% saved. It is a rough measure, not a promise about the date.

Household

You and a partner, linked, with both of your accounts, bills and goals together. In a household you can ask as just you or as both of you, and the header says which numbers you are looking at.

Vault

Where what you enter in Buyancy is stored, sealed with a key that stays with you. See your data and the vault.

This explains how Buyancy works. It is not financial advice, and it does not know your whole situation.
